The Niger State Ministry of Health has engaged 4P’S Solutions Limited to provide cleaning and pest control services at the General Hospital, Minna, as part of efforts to improve sanitation, hygiene and patient safety.
The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Murtala Muhammad Bagana, disclosed this on Wednesday during an inspection of the facility, announcing that the company would commence operations on November 2, 2026.
He said the initiative was aimed at maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, healthcare workers and visitors through routine cleaning, disinfection, proper waste management and effective pest control.
Under the arrangement, the company will provide daily cleaning services across designated wards, theatres, laboratories, offices, corridors, restrooms and other public areas.
Its responsibilities will also include waste collection, segregation and disposal in line with established clinical and non-clinical waste management protocols.
The commissioner added that the company would disinfect high-touch surfaces and high-risk areas, including operating theatres and isolation wards, while carrying out scheduled pest control treatments and additional interventions when necessary.
To ensure accountability and compliance with agreed service standards, the firm will submit monthly reports and participate in performance review meetings.
The ministry said the engagement was expected to strengthen environmental sanitation, establish a coordinated cleaning and pest control system, and promote a safer and more hygienic healthcare environment at the hospital.
