The Niger State Chapter of the Bayero University Kano Alumni Association (BUKAA) has directed all committees set up for its 2026 Congress and Reunion to submit their preliminary reports and proposed budgets within seven days of their inauguration.
The directive was contained in a circular issued by the association’s Executive Committee and dated September 14, 2026.
The committees were inaugurated on Saturday, September 12, at the IBB Pen House in Minna, with the association commending the chairmen and members for their prompt attendance and participation in the inauguration.
According to the circular, the directive followed the General Directives contained in the Terms of Reference (ToR) adopted at the association’s Extraordinary General Meeting held on August 29, 2026.
The association said the submission of the tentative preliminary reports and budgets was necessary to enable the Executive Committee to harmonise plans and meet its organisational deadlines ahead of the 2026 Congress and Reunion.
All committee chairmen and secretaries have therefore been directed to present their preliminary reports and budgets to the EXCO at a meeting scheduled for Sunday, September 20, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. prompt to be held at IBB Pen House, Minna.
The association urged all committees to treat the assignment as a matter of priority, stressing that timely submission would facilitate effective planning and coordination of the forthcoming congress.
The circular, signed by the BUKAA Niger State Chapter Secretary, Alhaji Shehu Yunusa Adam, on behalf of the Executive Committee, reaffirmed the chapter’s commitment to its theme, “BUK FAMILY: United We Thrive.”
