The PDP candidate for Chanchaga Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Pharm. Abdulkadir Mohammed Abugi has paid a thank you visit to the Emir of Minna, His Royal Highness, alongside the PDP Niger State Deputy Governorship Candidate, Alhaji Dahir Dan-Azumi Abdul, and the party’s candidate for Bosso/Paikoro Federal Constituency, Hon. Hajiya Hauwa Musa Shaho, as well as members of the Central Working Committee.
The visit was to appreciate the Emir and the Minna Emirate for conferring on him the traditional title of Wakilin Maganin Minna.
Abugi described the recognition as a responsibility and a call to greater service to humanity, pledging to use the honour as an opportunity to contribute to the welfare and development of the people.
As part of efforts to give back to the community, the PDP candidate said he had commenced a medical outreach programme across the eleven wards of Chanchaga Federal Constituency.
He noted that the outreach in Nasarawa A Ward was successfully conducted at the Emir’s Palace in Minna on September 24, 2026, with the aim of bringing essential healthcare services closer to residents, particularly those facing difficulties accessing quality medical care.
During the visit, Abugi and his delegation also sympathised with the Emir and the Minna Emirate over the recent loss of lives in some communities.
They prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased, comfort for their bereaved families, and peace, unity and security across the Minna Emirate and Niger State.
Abugi reaffirmed his commitment to translating the traditional recognition into meaningful service to the people, stressing that public responsibility should extend beyond political activities.
